Klur winery The Klur vineyards originated from a long family tradition
but have been dedicated to organic production since 1999. Today, we have
7 hectares of vines in 20 parcels located in Katzenthal mostly on granite
soil, but also on clay-limestone soils. The Klur wines are considered
to be characteristic, very personal, bearing the stamp of a certain type
of Alsatian wine; clean, yet elegant, dry and fruity. Media reports blog

for yourselves…our wine

Why is Klur organic ? It began with a vision and we have converted
our way of life completely, although we were already practicing the planting
of cover crops, composting, working the soil, before we converted. Following
other experiments, exchanges, training, notably in
biodynamics
there was no turning back for us
and we launched our organic viticulture at the turning point of the millenium…in
1999.
Charming vacation for 2 or 3 nights, 1
week or more. We propose self cattering apartments on the wine estate
or independant cottages. Stay is possible for 2 or 18 people.
All places presented here are renovated with care and most of them are
organic. We used solar energy, materials like stone, wood, chalk, kork,
limestone clay.

The oldest Viticultural Cellar of France.
It was created in 1895 by the wine growers of Ribeauvillé and his
area, for better facing the crisis which prevailed then in the vineyard.
Today, after more than one century of existence, the first viticultural
cellar of France proves that these pioneers founders had seen far
The vineyard of the Viticultural Cellar extends on 265 hectares distributed
between Ribeauvillé and the neighbouring communes. This surface
is exploited by 40 vine growers Our wines are regularly quoted in the
Guides such as Hachette, Gault et Millaut, Bettane et Desseauve et des
citations internationales :Wine Spectator, Decanter, Weiwelt.
Jean Baltenweck is operating of 8,1 ha vines, led in agrobiology, and
whose harvest is delivered to the Cellar of Ribeauvillé.
Each year since 1995, the Cellar of Ribeauvillé expresses its engagement
at the side of the artists, in their requiring to illustrate a box made
up of 3 high-class wines diffused in limited quantity. We have a museum,
of a room of prestige to accomodate exposures of painting, sculpture.

The champagne Leclerc Briant respects the tradition of wine and

CHARTREUSE

5 generations of family SAINT-EXUPERY followed one another around
2 domain of famous : Castle Péch-Céleyran and Chartreuse
de Mougères.
Built on an old Roman villa. One cultivated there the vine 2000 years
ago. The Chartreux fathers settled there in 1789 until 1977. Always owners
of the field they remain the witnesses of the monastic life and remain
guaranteeing quality of the wine.

The owners Pierre and Michel BIROT are vine growers of wire father since
1675. They cultivate with great care and love their vineyard of 90 hectares.
Our wines are known in the whole world and present on the most prestigious
tables in the official dinners as in the Elysium with the National Assembly
and… at the White House.
Situation in the splendid site of the Castle of Martin Saint of the Fields
built at the XVIIe century near a Hermitage of VIIe century when halt
the Pilgrims made who went to Saint Jacques de Compostelle while passing
by Béziers. The splendid buildings are integrated since their origin
in the vineyard. Witnesses of the history, the immense stables and the
tanks with wines built out of stones of size, go back to 1752 and are
always in service in the cellars.
In the stone buildings of size of the House of the Vintagers we renovated

The vineyard consists of several small islands of various complementary
soils making it possible to work out wines of quality.

The Domain Fabrégues, old transformed vault, in 1835, in farmhouse

The Domaine Grand Guilhem is an organic wine producing property
of 12 hectares with a large 19th century house and outbuildings. It lies
just above the minute wine producing village of Cascastel which is situated
in the Fitou area of Southern France. This is in the region known popularly
as Cathar country. It is 25 kilometres from the Mediterranean and the
beaches The main house - "Family mansion" - is built of local
stone and its green shutters open onto a typical Mediterranean view with
the Roman tiled roofs of Cascastel, the Garrigue and the vineyards which
are planted with 60 year old Carignan, Grenache, Syrah, Mourvèdre,
Muscat and Maccabeau varieties of vine plants.
The accommodation consists of four guest rooms, chambres d'hôtes
(it is also possible to rent all the Family mansion - up for 14 people
- with private pool in self catering), plus two independant gîtes
to rent (one for 4 people and one for 12 people) which gives a choice,
depending on what is required. All has been given 'Pays Cathare' recognition
within the field of rural accommodation for the quality of the welcome
given and also the label 'Sejours en Vignobles' (a wine holiday - or break
-) by Gîtes de France which is awarded to vine growing proprietors
who wish to share their love and knowledge of wine with their guests.

The Domaine de Matourne is planted since 1974 with the noble grape varieties
of the AOC Côtes de Provence: Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, Mourvèdre
and Grenache for the Reds, Grenache, Mourvèdre and Cinsault for
the Rosés and Rolle (Vermentino) and Sémillon for the Whites.
The Domaine is located at an altitude of 500 m, in the hinterland of the
Var. Weeds in the vineyard are removed mechanically and the vines are
not fertilized, to limit productivity. The harvest is handpicked and introduced
into the fermentation tanks by gravity.
The Domaine de Matourne is located in an idyllic and secluded environment. Three houses can be rented on a weekly basis: the Bastidou for 2 persons, the Bastide and the Lodge for 4 persons. Our wine-producing estate of 18 hectares (almost 45 acres) lies
on the hillsides overlooking the Cher, in the Appellation Contrôlée
(AOC) region of TOURAINE, “Chenonceaux Country”. A range of
grape varieties allows us to produce a great diversity of wines: Sauvignon,
Gamay, Cabernet, Côt, Pineau d'Aunis, Chenin, Chardonnay...
Resulting from a family of wine growers established for more than 100
years on the commune of Stuffed, Jean-Pierre Germain has endeavoured for
30 years to develop and restructure the vineyard, with an aim of developing

The Domain belongs to the family Charruau since 1722. The various generations
have never stopped developing and improving the techniques of wine making.

Since XIIIème century of the generations produce wine on a hill
with an extraordinary sight on Luberon and the Ventoux Mount. Our area
is a crossing point of migratory birds of which the crested cochevis,
“Couqihado” into of Provence, which gave its name to the hamlet
of Coquillade.
The "Cave of Coquillade" became the "Cave AURETO",
who means “breeze” into of Provence. As of June 2008, come
to taste the new wines of the domain.

friends auto-forklift truck operators, if you pass there you will be welcome.

Domaine de Verquiere established its reputation thanks to the work and
the know-how of several generations. When he was young, Grandfather Edmond
bought the buildings to which he gave life again. He used to sell his
wines in big barrels to the best wine-merchants of the area. Father Louis,
with dynamism, gave a new impulse to the domain by selling the wines in
bottles and by extending the estate. On his steps, his son Bernard CHAMFORT
took over, respecting the quality of the wines and increasing the sales
through export.
This peaceful country house, which is a rural provençale farm,
delights the visitor with its setting of greenness. Sheltered by the medieval
village, the wine-cellar faces south.
In the background, the Dentelles de Montmirail overlook the vineyard of
the estate.
